Capping and installation of monitoring infrastructure for the closure of mining Pit 3

Project details

Works Include:
– Placement over tailings 965,000m2 of single and double layered geotextile
– Placement over geotextile 7m of capping material in 4 layers totalling 3.9M m3 from local stockpiles.
– Installation and extension of 3 Decant Towers and 20 Settlement monitoring towers
– Installation of Vibrating Wire Peizometers and survey prisms
– Management of pit dewatering and installation of temporary and permanent Decant pumps and piping.
