Project Scope

QH&M BIRT was engaged to deliver the development of the Bedded Hill Top and Hope Downs 2 ore bodies, together with a long-term road train route designed to sustain production at the HD1 Operation.

Project details

Key Features:
  • Clearing, grubbing and stripping of HD2 and BHT IMA Pits, Waste Dumps and Stockpile Areas.
  • Construction of HME Haul roads and LME Haul roads to facilitate initial mining of HD2 and BHT Pits.
  • Construction of Satellite and Permanent NPI pads.
  • Construction of Transfer Pads and Skyway.
  • Surface water management including CSP supply and installation, construction of diversion drains.
  • Construction of 22.8km of stabilised and sealed permanent haul road from HD2 to existing HD1 operations for long term road train mining.
