QH&M BIRT was engaged for the realignment of Walker Creek, providing access to additional mining resource zones while supporting the operation’s long-term productivity and low operating cost base.

Project details

Key Features:
– 700,000m3 of Topsoil Stripping
– 5.6M m3 of total excavation from creek diversions, drainage, dams and levees
– 1.5M m3 of engineered fill into creek diversion landforms, levees, dams and drainage bunds
– Design and construction of spoil piles including appropriate drainage measures
– 230 Ha of multi zoned rehabilitation works to creek diversion batters, spoil piles, levees and drains.
